Trying Something New

As you can tell form our pictures, most of our wreaths are made from craft and tissue papers. At our show last week, the most common questions we received was how the wreaths would do in rainy weather. OF course we responded with a recommendation of keeping the wreaths out of bad and rainy weather. Well let me tell you how happy we were today when searching the Internet and came across a water resistance tissue paper! Yep, you heard right - we have found a paper, available in many colors, that they claim with remain water resistant. Needless to say we were so tickled that our order has been placed and we are expecting the paper in the next few days! We will keep you posted on how it works out. Just think of the doors this could open......

Our First Show and Upcoming Events...

We are so excited to announce the success of our first show we participated in to display our inventory!! When you get the idea to start a business, you never know how you product will be received. Out local hospital ( and place we hold our full time positions ) holds a craft fair open to employees that want to sell off goods and products they make. This is open to other employees, patients and the general public to come browse and purchase the items. We had a wide variety of wreaths and were very happy with the amount sold, and even the orders placed. It seems the time and effort we are putting in is paying off, and that is always a plus!

As for upcoming events, WE will be participating in a Sip, See and Shop at a open house here in Tallahassee. This will be on Thursday March 12th from 10am - 2om. More details to follow.

I have decided to challenge myself. I am willing myself to make at least 3 blog posts a week in an effort to keep everyone up to date on what we are up to. We have much in the works - hoping to start a web site or an Etsy shop for customers to be able to view, order and purchase products in an easy way. SO now it is printed - lets see if I can pull it off!

We're Still Here....

No we have not given up on our new business adventure... we have just been BUSY!!

When we decided to give this idea a chance, we were a little unsure how it would go. We have been very pleased with the response! With Easter around the corner a few people asked for some cute decor for their doors. Once we started to deliver their wreaths, more people would see them and place orders of their own - we have had so many orders, we are staying quite involved and we are LOVING it!

Now that we have all but one of our Easter orders filled ( not to worry, the last Easter order is being delivered this Friday ) we are getting putting together a great spread for our first Expo. We are going to debut our wreaths at a craft fair at our local hospital. Apparently most folks sell their loot pretty well at these shows and we are hoping for the best. We will keep you posted on how it goes!!

A Warm Welcome

We are busy creating new and unique designs to welcome friends and family to your home. What a better way to welcome a new neighbor than with a wreath to put on their front door. A wreath is warm and inviting - just how we want our new neighbors to feel.

We recently filled an order for two housewarming gifts. One with a name and one with the first initial of their last name. Either way, both say hello in a great way.

We are also filling Easter orders now. Spring and Easter have great wreath options, as there are so many fun and bright color to use. We also have wedding season and Summer right around the corner. Should keep us busy for some time!

Check back this week to see what we have in store for any up-coming brides!

Welcome Baby!

Have you been to the Mother Baby unit of your local hospital lately? It is really fun to walk the halls and see how the new moms have their door decorated to announce the arrival of their new bundle of joy. We are getting excited to welcome the arrival of a friends baby in just a short time. Eli will be entering into a family as the fourth boy and his mama could not be happier!!

We showered Julie with a fun party this past Saturday. The theme was turquoise and cow print, so we had to come up with something to match....

This denim diaper cowboy wreath was the winner :-) I can't wait to see it on their door at the hospital. Everyone will surely know Eli has arrived! Once they have gone home and then newness has worn off, mom can take the wreath apart and use the denim diaper on baby. The wooden name and figures can be used to decorate or add a magnet to the back and use then to show off all the boys artwork on the fridge.

Any of our wreaths can be personalized with a name, initial or monogram - what better way to welcome people and say Hello!!

Southern Hospitality

Southern hospitality is a term used to describe the people of the southern United States as particularly warm and welcoming to visitors in their home. When you think of a true southern home, what do you picture? The image most likely filling your mind is a home with a big front porch adorned with some rockers and a swing. There are probably potted plants flagging the door and on that door, in the center, is a big, bold; welcoming WREATH. It may be bright and colorful, it may be made of flowers or greenery, and it may even give a shout-out to the favorite sports team of this family, but non the less, it is there.

What better way to welcome someone into your home than with a beautiful wreath. It is inviting and may even serve as an ice breaker for new-comers. Add a bow, an initial, or even you monogram - whatever you choose to adorn your door, its a great way to say hello!

Interested is some decor for your front door? We would love to hear from you and create a fun and unique wreath for you!
